We present an experience designed in an alliance between RJ Vineyards and Discovery Wine Mendoza.
Everything came about naturally, almost as if life led us to present, already finished, this product; which is nothing other than offering our clients the possibility of designing their own wine.
This is a full day experience that begins when we pick you up at the hotel and head to the winery, where we will have a private visit to the winery and talk with the winemaker and the owner. In addition to telling us the history of the winery, they will explain to us the organoleptic characteristics of each varietal, each terroir and the mechanics that will be used to create the blend.
While we light the fire to eat the barbecue, which is to say it is a barbecue among friends, it is not a restaurant experience, we want you to feel like you are visiting a friend’s house, you begin to experience the cuts in the wine, always guided by the winemaker.
We will use four wines to make the blend (The final blend does not necessarily have to have all four, it can be great with three or just two, the choice is up to you), you will make your wine, to your liking.
introduction
The wines we will use for the blend are:
1. Premium Malbec from the barrel, designed for demanding clients, with all the typicality of Malbec, it is usually the base of the blends in Argentina.
2. Merlot from the barrel, provides softness, aromas of berries and elegance on the finish.
3. Cabernet Franc from the barrel, provides another range of aromas derived from pyrazine (peppers) that will give a lot of complexity to the blend.
4. Petit Verdot from the barrel, in this varietal we find a support for the structure that will provide acidity and structure to the blend.
DEFINING WINE
Defining a blend is the moment of greatest creativity in the art of making wine. It is the alchemy that illuminates the work of years in the vineyard and in the winery. When you think of a blend, you are looking for that ideal, dreamed-of wine; the taste experience of our lives that endures in our memory. A unique individual will then be born, the wine that will reflect the personality of the author or authors of the blend, a wine with soul, a wine that tells a story.
This blend, in exact proportions, will be stored in bottles, so that it can be rounded off. This is not exact, but it will take approximately one year, during which time they can design the label.
We will use “Prestige” bottles and they will rest for the time that the winemaker determines so that it is ready to drink. We will use Diam 5 cork, which, together with the quality of these high-end wines, added to the French barrel used, will ensure aging potential of at least ten years.
The minimum number of bottles that can be produced in this way is 300, that is, a 225-litre barrel.
The bottles will be sent to your home (valid only in the Argentine Republic) once the storage process has been completed, either naked or already sealed and labelled with the label and wax seal provided by you in boxes of 12 bottles.
final steps
This tour will take you on a journey through the fascinating history of winemaking in Argentina.
